The Windham Textile & History Museum presents the 2013 Mill of the Month Program


A walking tour of various mill sites on the fourth Saturday of the each month at 10 or 4:00.
Including exterior and some interior tours by Bev York and other historians. Passport $5, Each tour is $8. Attend 8 and get one free.

This Month: Merrow and Eagleville Mills

The Windham Textile and History Museum will sponsor the sixth installment in its Mill of the Month Program. July’s participants, led by local historian Bev York, will visit Mill sites along the Willimantic River located in Mansfield, CT. Participants will also visit mill sites in Merrow, makers of stockinette material and Eagleville, which made cotton thread and gun parts during the Civil War. Both mills are gone, but parts of the villages and dams still remain. Registration is suggested by calling 860-456-2178.

The tour will be held rain or shine. We will meet at Merrow, right off of Rte. 32. Go over the railroad tracks and park in the lot on the left labeled Merrow River Walk Parking.
